A new program in response to requests!

HEAL Facilitator Training Program

for Equine-Facilitated Learning (EFL)

with Kathleen Barry Ingram, MA & Leigh Shambo, MSW

A program for counselors, teachers, and coaches (including equestrian professionals) who are looking for practical training and experience for developing Equine Facilitated Learning programs. The FTP consists of 2 weeks (6 days each) of on-site instruction as well as individual and group study assignments which will help prepare students to facilitate horse activities in a way that optimizes relational ability, emotional well-being, and empowerment. Upon fulfillment of graduation requirements students will be provided with an individual, strength-based evaluation and a certificate of program completion.  Students will be able to list themselves as graduates of the HEAL Facilitator Training Program for Equine-Facilitated Learning.  Prerequisite is a 3-day workshop with HEAL, Epona or Kathleen Ingram.

Advanced workshop for EFP practitioners and all who are interested in how horses can help trauma survivors heal.  Learn to make use of the natural resonance that often occurs between horses and trauma survivors, and see how horses teach affective/somatic self-regulation, boundary & healthy ego strength.  Recognize intuitive gifts in trauma survivors and help them distinguish these from symptoms.   Exercises and methods in the HEAL Approach that are tailored for trauma recovery.  Leigh will also cover research models for EFP with trauma survivors.

Equine-facilitated learning for personal growth and for professionals interested in the field of equine-facilitated therapy and learning.  Introductory and advanced facilitation skills training for those interested in working with horses in the human services field or healing arts.  Integrate therapeutic, educational and horse skills while visioning your growth into this exciting new field!

 Invisible Horsemanship integrates the Epona method, transformational ground training, and equestrian coaching under saddle.   It’s a powerful blend that builds a deep bond of connection and friendship while empowering you as a trusted leader in the riding relationship.  The results will amaze you and delight your horse!

Cancellation Policy:
If a schedule change is requested more than 30 days in advance of a session, the deposit will be transferred to another date less a $50 processing fee.  Within 14 days of the scheduled date the deposit becomes non-refundable, with exceptions made for travel conditions or medical emergencies (in which case the deposit will be applied to a rescheduled date).  If a program or reserved date is cancelled by HEAL, any deposits paid will be refunded in full.
